Education is the basic element of any society.

Sponsorship of children, schooling, monitoring, early learning activities, cultural activities, educational meetings, tutoring

Children are deprived of education for various reasons. Poverty remains one of the most stubborn obstacles. Children living in situations of economic fragility, political instability, conflict or natural disaster are more likely to be deprived of schooling, as are those who suffer from disabilities or who belong to an ethnic minority. In some countries, educational opportunities for girls remain very limited.

Even in schools, the lack of qualified teachers, inadequate teaching materials and poor infrastructure make learning difficult for many students. Others come to class too hungry, sick, or exhausted from work or household chores to benefit from their lessons.

It is therefore necessary to develop alternative learning opportunities that take into account the reasons for high dropout rates in order to provide young people with appropriate opportunities to consolidate their basic knowledge and skills and equip them with the necessary relevant skills to obtain employment, become business owners and entrepreneurs, or engage in other productive activities.

DESIGNING A TRANSFORMATIVE SCHOOL CULTURE

We strive to transform public and private education by promoting spiritual and moral development within schools and giving educators tools to build classrooms and schools that nourish the inner lives of their students. We accomplish this work through four strategic initiatives:

1. Research. We collect successful practices and lessons learned from master practitioners, develop our school change process, and share these results.

2. The Institute of Awakened Schools . We bring together educational leaders and teachers from across the country to learn and think together about how their schools can develop a more spiritually supportive culture.

3. Public speaking. Through conferences, social media and outreach, we share our work with schools, universities, researchers and the public who want to do more to support the inner minds of children and adults.

4. The National Council on Spirituality in Education . Through our National Conference on Spirituality in Education and other events, we continue to build a movement. Our conferences and events bring together practitioners and scholars to collaborate on ideas and initiatives that will advance the field of spirituality in education.
